So for those of you who are big Quincy Jones fans, I was within 15 feet of him. He made an appearance at SXSW to sign a new book. People waited in line for over an hour because he was late arriving…but they seemed very pleased once he made a show.

You know the saying: when it rains it pours. In a way that’s what happened to us as we began our journey to SXSW in Austin. First, we rented an RV and the first group of us headed to Austin from Lewisville, TX.
