Fun Things to do in Dallas in April – Mesquite’s Real Texas Festival
This sounds like a really fun thing to do in Dallas: Mesquite’s Real Texas Festival. Basically, this is a 3 day festival of food, fun, music…and the Mesquite Championship Rodeo! There will be a BBQ cook-off, battle of the bands, a carnival featuring a Midway, and the Cowboys and Chrome Car Show, sponsored by Hooters.
This is a really cheap thing to do in Dallas…especially if you buy the tickets in advanced.
Featured performers Saturday night, April 25, will be Los Lonely Boys! They will perform from 9:30-11 pm.
- Where: Rodeo Center in Mesquite, Texas, LBJ Freeway and Military Parkway. The exact street address is 1818 Rodeo Drive in Mesquite
- When: Friday, April 24 - 5-11 pm; Saturday, April 25 - Noon-11 pm; Sunday, April 26 - Noon-6 pm
- Ticket Prices: Tickets are $5 in advance and $10 at the gates. Also, $12 three day passes are available in advance. Children 1n and under get in Free. (General Admission tickets get you into the rodeo Friday or Saturday)
- Parking: There is free parking at West Mesquite High School and Memorial Stadium with free shuttle service.
