Festival Activities will include demonstrations of Asian culture including Chinese calligraphy, Asian painting, traditional dances, fashion shows, musical instruments and other cultural arts. Talented artists from the local Asian community will showcase their culture and heritage to the public. This event celebrates the diverse artistic and cultural experiences of Asian-Americans – it is about understanding the different spices that make up the wonderful American Melting Pot.

Other activities will include origami, balloon animal clowns, live music and dance performances, and a variety of Asian food. New this year is a children’s art contest which will be held throughout the day. Also new, the Dallas Asian American Youth Orchestra will perform and UT Dallas’ Confucius Institute will make a presentation inside the Courtyard Theater adjacent to the west side of the park.
